C1830. A genuine French, 19th century, cherrywood farmhouse table with scalloped apron and cabriole legs. A bread making tray open at one end while the other has drawer. Lovely colour and patination.
Provenance Vicount and Vicountess Chandos and used as the desk of Hon Dr Margaret Lyttelton, noted archeologist. "Romans. Their gods and beliefs", "The Mausleum of Harlicanassus" and the "Baroque architecture of Classical antiquaty".
