A fine early 19th century Scottish mahogany centre table by the renowned Edinburgh cabinetmaker William Trotter (1772–1852), celebrated for supplying furniture to the Scottish aristocracy. This elegant antique centre table features a solid circular mahogany top with finely carved reeded edging, above his signiture carved central column. The column rises from a shaped quadripartite base terminating in bun feet, providing excellent stability and classical proportion.

The rich colour and grain of the mahogany are exceptional, with a warm patina consistent with age and quality craftsmanship. William Trotter furniture is highly sought after for its refined neoclassical design and superior construction, making this piece an excellent example of Scottish Regency antique furniture.

Ideal as a centre table, or statement piece in both traditional and contemporary interiors. A rare and authentic example of 19th century Scottish mahogany furniture with strong provenance.
