A pair of 19th century tub or nursing chairs

C1860.

A charming pair of 19th-century walnut tub chairs. These antique armchairs feature beautifully carved solid walnut frames with cabriole legs, scroll arms, and detailed floral motifs typical of Victorian craftsmanship. The chairs retain their original button-back upholstery, now worn and distressed, offering an authentic period look or an excellent base for re-upholstery. The underlying upholstery is in excellent condition.

With their elegant tub-shaped design, these Victorian walnut chairs provide a classic silhouette that works well in traditional interiors, boutique settings, or as statement pieces in modern homes. The frames are strong and stable, showcasing the quality of 19th-century furniture making.

Perfect for antique dealers, interior designers, or collectors seeking restoration projects, this matching pair offers great potential to return to their former grandeur.

A highly decorative pair of antique 19th-century tub chairs with excellent craftsmanship and timeless appeal.
