A fine Country House, 19th century Gothic stick stand, constructed in golden oak with a strong, architectural design. This freestanding antique stick stand features four turned and fluted corner supports, each surmounted by distinctive Gothic-style finials, with the original raised gallery surrounding the top.

The lower section incorporates open panels between the supports, giving the piece a particularly attractive and practical form. Fitted with a painted metal drip tray, it was designed to hold walking sticks, umbrellas, canes or fishing rods while protecting the surrounding floor from rainwater.

The warm golden colour and naturally aged oak grain give this Victorian stick stand considerable character and charm. Its Gothic Revival styling makes it an excellent decorative and functional piece for an entrance hall, country house, period property or boot room.

An unusually substantial and decorative example of 19th century antique furniture, this Gothic oak stick stand would make an impressive addition to any collection of Victorian furniture or antique hallway furniture.
