C1840.

A beautiful 19th century carved sculpture of The Three Graces after the original by Antonio Canova, representing the classical goddesses of charm, beauty, and creativity from Greek and Roman mythology. This finely worked piece is carved from  marble, with rich natural veining and a mellow aged, weather worn patina.

The composition—three elegant female figures entwined in a tender embrace—is inspired by classical antiquity and reflects the Neoclassical fascination with idealised beauty and mythological subjects. Though showing some old repairs and signs of age, these features enhance its authenticity and historic character.

This antique sculpture makes an impressive decorative centrepiece for a mantelpiece, console table  gallery setting, or sheltered, outside, space. A timeless expression of harmony and grace, ideal for collectors of classical art and 19th century sculpture.
