This large 19th century gilt oval mirror is a superb decorative antique, featuring a finely detailed reeded and beaded giltwood frame. Dating from the 1800s, the mirror retains its original gilt finish, now mellowed with a rich, warm patina that highlights its age and authenticity.
The substantial oval form makes this antique wall mirror an impressive statement piece, ideal for use above a fireplace, mantel, console table, or sideboard. The original mirror plate shows gentle foxing and wear consistent with age, adding depth and character without detracting from its reflective quality.
Elegant yet versatile, this 19th century gilt mirror suits both traditional and contemporary interiors, working equally well in Georgian, Regency, French, or eclectic settings. A timeless antique mirror that brings light, scale, and classical elegance to any room.
