A magnificent and large, 16th century, Venetian, cedarwood chest. The pokerwork decoration depicting a central military figure with a Marchals baton flanked by two other soldiers. Armorials, flanked by lions, images of the domes of St Marks. Wonderful colour and patination. The feet are not original .
