An art school cast of the Lely venus dated 1913 and wrongly attributed to the Venus di Medici on the base.

The Lely Venus once owned by Charles I was described as the "finest statue of all" and valued at 6000 ecus. It was then owned by sir Peter Lely from whom it derives its name. It Is now in the British museum.
